Madonna threatened to beat up Sarah Palin.
Sandra Bernhard said Palin should be gang raped.
Tina Fey is threatening to leave the planet if McCain/Palin win.
Matt Damon called Palin “absurd.”
Whoopi called her “dangerous.”
But ABC News is worried about remarks made by actor Robert Duvall that may have been over the edge in his criticism of Barack Obama at an appearance with Sarah Palin yesterday. Here’s the report from ABC:
The rhetoric was a departure from recent days, where Palin has toned down her criticism of Democratic presidential nominee Sen. Barack Obama. Duvall used no such caution in his remarks, saying of Obama, “we gotta keep this guy out of the White House.”
Duvall then introduced Palin, who quickly thanked him “for that very kind introduction” before giving her standard stump speech to the crowd of 400 Republican donors.
Wow! Duvall said we have to stop Obama from being President. Shouldn’t the Secret Service pay Duvall a visit? This is the kind of rhetoric that clearly incites violence. Somebody please stop the violence from Duvall. He’s out of control!

He’s not out of control.
He’s obviously a racist.

DAD LOL!!!

And note that Robert Duvall has more talent in his pinky finger than that list of celebrities put together.

Way to go Duvall!
Honestly, though, I hadn’t heard someone said Sarah Palin should be gang raped, and I am shocked that anyone could say such a thing, let alone one woman about another. Rape isn’t a joke, it isn’t a point to make. That’s horrific, and anyone who suggests that for another woman is not anyone who truly cares about women, whatever she calls herself.
But back to Duvall.. Good actor, good writer, good person. Good for him for not trying to balance out the inordinate support one side has in Hollywood.

“standard stump speech”. Their hate shows in every word.
Not that I think voting either way is going to make any real difference, but still the way US media treat gov. Palin is appalling.

To quote a fey dancer in BLAZING SADDLES, “You brute, you brute, you brute!”

One of my favorite movie lines ever was by “Hub” in the film Secondhand Lions.
Duvall playing the role of Hub said: “Just because something isn’t true, that’s no reason you can’t believe it.
That is what Obama is hoping for I guess.

Hub McCann in Second Hand Lions was an ultimate maverick who was a bit downhearted. But he didn’t give up fighting for what he thought was right. I think the parallels are much more in line with McCain – an old man people want to box in or start digging a grave for, but who’s not yet done, who’s still got a fist to shake at the sky and in the faces of those who value less important things.
Here’s the full quote: “Sometimes the things that may or may not be true are the things a man needs to believe in the most. That people are basically good; that honor, courage, and virtue mean everything; that power and money, money and power mean nothing; that good always triumphs over evil; and I want you to remember this, that love… true love never dies. You remember that, boy. You remember that. Doesn’t matter if it’s true or not. You see, a man should believe in those things, because those are the things worth believing in.”
I’ll take that over campaign slogans of change and hope anyday… these are the true things.
I hope to God McCain flusters Obama – I want Obama to lose it. He was seething in the first debate. McCain needs to keep his cool and make Obama lose his.

It was quite amusing to see Bob Shaffer moderate last night. Every time McCain made something stick he darted in with “Time’s up!” It was just short of hurling himself in front of the camera, slow motion, crying “Nooooooooo!”

We already know what a great actor Robert Duvall is and now we know how sensible he is. He sees right through Obama. God bless him!I am thrilled with what he said and the guts it takes to say it these days.

Dude. ABC needs to get over it.
Rubbin’ is racin’.
