Get to know Chai Feldblum, a radical homosexual activist, who was just placed by President Obama onto the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) while the Senate was out for the Easter recess.
Check out this video. It’s scary.
CMR wrote a story about her a few months back. In the piece linked here I quote Feldblum saying:
I, for one, am not sure whether marriage is a normatively good institution. I have moved away from the belief that marriage is clearly the best normative way to structure intimate relationships, such that government should be actively supporting this social arrangement above all others.
Fitting that she comes from Georgetown, huh?
This is a woman who sees herself “at war” with traditional values and I’m sure that she’s not going to waste this opportunity to go on the attack. Brace yourselves.

We are "moral and political units"?! Heaven help us.

She hasn't a clue of what morality is!
She is right about one thing. There is war that needs to be fought, but it's the war against the modernist and those who preach immorality under guise of equality.

Dear God…

I'm with Louis. I'd like to, well, let me rephrase that, I'd be interested to hear her definition of morality and what that definition is based on.

If they (GLBTQWhatever) want to be taken seriously, why is the first adjective they use to describe themselves "gay"? If they are more than just sex, this is an odd way to note that fact.

If she is not in favor of marriage, and not in favor of the government involving itself in marriage, then can we also conclude that she is not in favor of gay "marriage"? If she is, then that just brings up even *more* questions.

All shame to Georgetown for providing her the legitimacy so that she could be appointed.
Notice how Obama actively appoints Catholics or those clearly associated with Catholic institutions? But he will only appoint those who are in outspoken opposition to one of the Church's central teachings.
Let's start a list:
Biden
Sebelius
Sotomayor

I wonder if she realizes that the only thing that stands between her and wearing a bhurka is an army of men who are largely Christian and straight.

God help us.
"Moral and political units"? That need to be "nurtured" by the government? With "the weapons of moral values"? Forced social re-engineering is the ultimate goal of our current government.
Notice, too, that she talks about how all of this needs to be funded by someone. This is precisely why the Left hates free markets. No one would voluntarily fund a massive social reorganization of the country… but a bunch of left-wing lunatics in Congress and the White House would be glad to take your money and fund it for you.
Of course, I can't even begin to blame all this type of rhetoric and these goals on the Left. The fact is, what they conclude is perfectly reasonable when aligned with what many on the Right claim about moral behavior. This woman says "Gay sex is just as good as heterosexual sex," and frankly she's mostly right.
When you live in a society where a "traditional" outlook on family life and sexuality includes: "family planning" through contraception, no-fault divorce, an expectation that young people should "try out" several sexual partners before committing themselves to one person, masturbation and pornography as normal (or even integral) to sexual development, etc., etc., how can you argue that gay sex ISN'T just as good as heterosexual sex?
The problem is that the Right sold out on any claim to free market values or traditional moral values a long, long, long time ago, and the chickens are coming home to roost, as they say.

Christians had better grab their kids and hang onto them tight. It has already started with clinics in high schools that provide abortions. Harvey Milk day in California. Teaching anti bulling by presenting gay lifestyles to high schools. Find a way to get your kids into religious schools or home school while you still can

Matthew, It's not nice to keep adding to our penitential load at the end of Lent. Just when I see the light of Easter flickering around the corner, I read one more news report about an Obama recess appointee. M

And to think, she's pulling down a six figure income or more just to speak in mind numbing, nonsensical abstractions. When you strip away the Orwellian doublespeak, and sociological techno-jargon you are left with the simple rationale of a libertine: "I shall do whatever I darn well please."
