The Newsweek/Washington Post site “On Faith” published the nastiest screed against the Church by Richard Dawkins just in time for Easter. What is wrong with these people? Have they no shame whatsoever? Pundette has the story. Check it out but don’t let it ruin your Easter.
Happy Easter to Catholics from the Washington Post: Your church is a “rotten edifice”
And that’s just the beginning. From today’s On Faith section: Should the Pope resign? Richard Dawkins answers:
Read it at Pundette.

I tried to read it but can't! It makes me want to cry but Easter is supposed to be about rejoicing! I will say a prayer for this small, narrow minded man, which is what Pope Benedict will do.

Anglican Fatwah Altar Boy Rowan Williams was trying to beat the Post by a few hours. That idiot coward believes that he will sweep up Irish Catholics. Two words cupcake – Irish History?
Here at home –
The historic hypocrisy of the American Left is public. Catholics know. Act accordingly – with Christian charity and a roll of dimes in the palm when needed.

I hope and pray that some day these lonely, embittered old men find their way to the Altar so that they will be loved, happy, and forever young in Our Lord and His Blessed Mother.

Anonymous, that's blatant calumny. I invite you to read the Pope's letter to the Church in Ireland.

This attack on the Pope is orchestrated to undermine the hierarchical authority and condemnation of traitorous Catholics like Pelosi, Biden, Stupak, Sr. Keehan and all those who sold out the unborn Jesus for Obama's favor. The godless Scoialist government has let lose its inbred dogs to mouth out hackneyed talking points that are so trite and worn out. It the administration thinks its winning the hearts and minds of Catholics by their lies, then they underestimate the intelligence and faith of the Church. All week I heard the mantra of indignation over the radio against this bogus scandal. It is just laughable. So, this Angelican twerp is just one predictable puppet that does not need to be taken seriously.

Far from being the authority to comment on spiritual issues, the Post will take pot shots at anything Christian. That being said, the RCC has brought this upon themselves from years of neglect and worse, covering it up. True condemnation will not come from popularist culture and media, but from God Almighty.

Dawkins is an imbecile. I much rather watch Sponge Bob than give Dawkins the time of day. I learn more from Sponge Bob than from Dawkins any day.

the biggest obstical to the immoral behavior of sex fiends masquerading as critics of the catholic church, is, was and has been the catholic church throughout the centuries.
sure of few sexual deviants got in the church, permitting their sex drive to rule their lives.
this, in of itself does not condemn christ's church.
those who seem to be the biggest critics, appear to be the ones supporting butchering babies and/or pushing a homosexual lifestyle of which the responsibility of parenthood, totally escapes them.
the b.s. about adoption, is nothing more,in this writer's opinion, is a smokescreen designed to give an undeserved respectibility.
have a good year. (ali)

But, to answer your question "Have they no shame whatsoever?"…
No.

Let Dawkins rant! He can't go on like that forever, nobody wants to read or hear that forever and after this debate runs it's course, and it will run it's course, what will happen to Dawkins? He's throwing away any claim he might have had to being measured and well thought out. He's a ranting extremest and there's really no place to go from there.

Wasn't that Dawkins on "Expelled: No Intelligence Allowed"? Yeah. I don't need to say more.

I actually subscribed to the Washington Post a few weeks ago–mainly for the coupons and the sports section. Between Hitchens this week and Sinead O'Connor last week, I canceled my subscription. I'm not paying for vile anti-Catholicism to save a couple bucks at the grocery store.
When I called, the customer service person tried to lecture me on respecting others' opinions. I explained to her that there's a difference between fact-driven opinion and emotion driven hate. The Post publishes the latter.
