What is our obsession with being in on the joke? I just went out to buy some food because we might be stuck in our house over the next few days. A woman was on the line next to mine joking about everyone rushing out to buy bread, milk, eggs and batteries because everyone was panicking because of the coming snow storm. The strange thing was that she was actually buying bread, milks and eggs. The cashier was joking about it too.
Do we all have to be ironic about everything? We have to raise our eyebrow at anything and everyone even when we’re doing the same thing?
It’s kinda’ weird, isn’t it?

FRENCH TOAST OF THE APOCALYPSE!!!
More likely, most people buy milk, eggs and bread as they need them– for space and freshness reasons. When we face a few days unable to get more, we run out to fill the gap.
But buying all three of those in the city, at one time, is odd. And it's not directly related to disaster preparation, so folks joke about it.
I know that I point out when I feel like I'm living a joke, because I want other folks to enjoy the humor.

I would assume you buy bread, milk and eggs because a snowstorm gives you the leisure to make French Toast 🙂 Better add maple syrup to the list :p

Should I be proud over the fact that I don't get the joke at all, then?
