I saw this picture and thought “Oh the Magical Imaginary Beings Convention was TODAY?” Darn it. I missed it again. But at least this pic was taken of Barack Obama and the Easter Bunny. It got me thinking that the similarities between the two are pretty remarkable. Here’s the top 7:
1) It’s difficult to trace the origins of both Obama and the Easter Bunny.
2) Both exist only in the minds of the immature.
3) Both pull things from out their @$$ and expect you to freak out and be thankful.
4) Both leave gifts for people regardless of merit. No naughty list. Nothing. Whoever wants treats gets treats.
5) Hollywood is enamored of both.
6) Both claim a connection to Christianity but there’s little evidence of how.
7) Both like to play on green pastures around holes.
If you’ve got more similarities please add them in the combox.

both have big ears

Easter Bunnies have always scared the hell out of me. Obama does as well with the direction he is taking this country…

Neither is qualified to be President.

Both are poorly dressed
Both have a less-than-intelligent expression
April 12, 2011 at 7:52 pm
Neither did to ever work to achieve their position

Both are (one way or the other) short-sighted

'whoever wants treats gets treats' Unless you are an un-born child in the womb, then, NO TREATS FOR YOU.

Both are remarkably ugly looking! And that's not the real Easter bunny. Or the real Obama! The real Obama is a moonlighting abortionist somewhere in Washington DC… Or is it?
April 12, 2011 at 9:08 pm
The both flop back and forth :-).

Both give away stuff produced by others.
Both hide behind Bush when there's trouble.
Finding where they've hidden their eggs can be challenging. (Feel free to edit this one out if it straddles the G rating.)

They both have freaky ears.

Both hide the treats from recipients of the treats. One does so on the lawn, the other does so in the crazy government bureaucracy.
April 12, 2011 at 10:19 pm
Oh,and when distributing treats in a public forum, both create long lines with lousy results for those who were hoping for a gift.
April 12, 2011 at 11:11 pm
Both are empty suits.

Is #1 a "birther" joke? Such a shame that some people have to think that Obama's some kind of evil foreigner rather than admit that most people didn't share their desire for eight more years of Bush/Cheney style catastrophe and Obama won fair and square. Like him or not, he's provided more than enough proof of his origins and has no obligation to give more. How would you feel if somebody demanded your birth certificate? Ironically, Obama's opponent in 2008 was actually born in another country. Maybe we should demand his birth certificate.

*sigh* Yes, Andrew, we get it; concerned troll is concerned. Thanks for that.
It's instructive to observe the links you'll go to struggle to connect any criticism of Obama, no matter how minor, with conspiracy theories and worn-out campaign rhetoric. (I'm surprised you didn't call us all raaaacists, too.)
Typical Obamaton — ignore the message; attack the messenger. Well, at least you learned from the best.

"How would you feel if somebody demanded your birth certificate?"
Uh.. what? Somebody has demanded my birth certificate on several occasions.. (No duplicates – certified original etc etc.) I can't recall feeling much of -anything- about it. I produced the birth certificate. If somebody then demanded further ID I also produced further ID. Nope.. Don't recall any of that being an emotional kind of experience.

I am long on indignation and short on the words to express it
Were that the second part of this statement from Andrew's profile as true as the first.

Anonymous: Funny that you call me a troll when you're the one posting anonymously. I wasn't defending Obama's policies by the way, I was merely stating that you do no good by questioning Obama's citizenship when he's proven you wrong about it already. "Birthers" make rational conservatives look like idiots by association, and that's the problem I have with you. I haven't called you a racist because you've said nothing to warrant it, but there are racists among your numbers (the ones posting pictures of Obama as a witch doctor, for instance) and you may be one for all I know. There are plenty of logical arguments to be made against Obama's policies, resorting to ad hominem attacks simply aren't necessary.
Anita: If somebody demanded your birth certificate in a way that implied that you weren't an American, and then rejected it when you provided it, you'd probably be upset. That is what has happened with Obama, he provided a legal document from Hawaii and that wasn't enough. Even the courts ruled that they have no right to the full form, and yet they still demand it. It makes you wonder what proof they'd accept, or whether any such proof actually exists.
Paul: If you think that I'm verbose then you obviously haven't taken part in a lot of online conversations.
