We all know about the War on Christmas. Yawn. If you want to be where the action is, it’s the wackiness that takes place every Holy Week and Easter. Every Holy Week we witness a cavalcade of lunacy and I believe this year we might be “enjoying” the wackiest Holy Week ever. My evidence is as follows:

Yeah, just because Good Friday falls on Earth Day this year, we have to favor the latter over the former? Which is more important, remembering that we have a duty to be good stewards of God's Creation, or commemorating the bloody Sacrifice of the Cross, which redeemed us once and for all? But all this in the name of political correctness…-sigh- Why does political correctness offend only Christians?

Don't forget Arbor Day is April 29. Sure, it is Easter Friday in the bad old Roman Calendar before it was spruced -up (Get it, Spruced?) and made all shiny and whatnot with its Ordinary this and Ordinary that and so the bestest thing we Christian Catholics could do is to rummage around the cellars in our Chanceries and see if we can find one of those old Renew Trees that used to pollute our Sanctuaries (Renew was so successful) and stick it back in the Sanctuary right beside the Altar because the God-Man not only created Trees, He died on one – so there.
